HEARTS ACHE THE SAME WAY, BACK HOME AS THEY DO HERE,
ANOTHER DRINK IN THIS PUB WON’T MAKE ‘EM DISAPPEAR.
SHE PUTS THE PROSE RIGHT ON MY PAGE,
LATELY I FEEL ARTISTICALLY CAGED,
LIKE ANOTHER CRUMB THROWN OFF O’CONNELL BRIDGE,
FOR A SEAGULL TO TAKE.
SHE KNOWS MY HEART, SHE KNOWS HOW TO START IT,
WHEN I’M BROKE DOWN AND LONELY.
IT’S MIDNIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY,
I WISH YOU WERE HERE WITH ME.
I’M ALL ALONE IN DUBLIN, SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING,
WISHING YOU WERE HERE WITH ME.
EVERY LIFE IS MANY DAYS, DAY AFTER DAY.
I’VE SPENT THE BEST OF ‘EM IN LOVE WITH YOU BABE,
I’VE WASTED THE WORST, WASTED, AWAY.
EXCUSE MY JINGLE JANGLE JARGON,
THIS MELODY WON’T RHYME WITH NOTHING,
BUT CLUES OF YOU IN EVERYTHING THAT I SEE.
WAS THAT YOUR SILHOUETTE IN ST. STEPHENS GREEN,
COMING OVER TO RESCUE ME?
FROM THE WORST OF MYSELF, FROM THE FEELINGS
I NO LONGER FELT.
I WISH YOU WERE HERE WITH ME.

A very unique addition to the PUP discography that brings a multitude of new sounds compared to previous works, not bad by any means, just a little different.
Go see them live, chaotic. Shmoob
